Virginia L. Jamison

Virginia Louise “Ginny” Jamison, 90, of Edinboro, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Parkersburg, WV on September 14, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Lillian Utterback.

She loved being the coaches wife. She and her husband, Robert, were long time season ticket holders for West Virginia University, where they met and he played football. She loved Edinboro Lake and going to the ocean. She enjoyed snorkeling and swimming in her younger days. As time went on, she enjoyed traveling in their motor home. After they retired, they spent their winters in Florida. She loved happy hour.

She worked at the Edinboro Elementary School as the Librarian before retiring.

Ginny was an avid Mountaineer fan. After high school, she graduated from WVU in their Business Program.

She was a member of the Edinboro United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Utterback, a grandson, Beau Jon Daugherty and a granddaughter, Jennifer Wyrozub Durfee.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 70 years, Robert Jamison; dear mother of Jenny (Rod) Daugherty of Reynolds, PA, Cindy (Randy) Wyrozub of Buffalo, Kathy Jamison of Edinboro, Beth (Lenny) Przybyszewski of Edinboro, and John "J.L." (Amy) Jamison of Key West, FL. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and great grandmother of 12.

Friends may call at the Edinboro United Methodist Church, 113 High Street, Edinboro, on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 10 until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery.
