Valerie A. Gray, 82, of Edinboro, died Saturday, September, 21 2013 at Wesbury in Meadville. She was born in Pittsburgh, on December 22, 1930, daughter of the late Charles Louis and Louise Agnes Mazza Carroll.
Valerie was an avid reader and a movie buff. She loved to fish, watch birds and she especially loved her cats. Valerie was an accomplished bowler and was the first woman in the Erie District Bowling Association to bowl a 300. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Edinboro.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Robert O. Gray, and her brother Charles “Buddy” Carroll who died protecting our country during the Korean War.
Survivors include her daughter Liana L. Gray of Edinboro.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., at Edinboro First United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Deborah Lee Evanovich and Rev. Matthew Falco officiating. A time for fellowship with light refreshments will follow.
