Thomas Alton Shelow, born to Thomas and Margaret Shelow in Windber, Pennsylvania, August 21, 1935, died at Edinboro Manor on December 12, 2020. They precede him in death, as well as the love of his life, Norma Kay Shelow in 1994.
Tom attended Cedarville College and Northern Illinois University for his higher learning. He served in the armed forces, and was a production manager with Swift & Company in Rochelle, Illinois for 17 years.
In addition to his many roles, Tom served the Lord as pastor of Paw Paw Bible Church in Illinois before moving back to Pennsylvania in the mid 80's to pastor at First Baptist Church of Edinboro. More recently he served in a variety of capacities as a reciprocal partner at McLane Church in Edinboro. Tom and Norma used their musical talent to bless many.
He is survived by a sister, LaRue Soyster (Paul), of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania; three talented sons, Thomas Shelow, Jr. (Teresa) of Roscoe, IL, David Shelow and Everett Shelow, both of Jamestown, NY; three precious granddaughters, Chadren Aten (Carl), Nikki Berg (Josh) and Anna Shelow; five great grandchildren, Colin, Cailee and Caleb Aten, and Andi and Rylie Berg; as well as brothers-in-law, their families, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends of many years.
A memorial service will be planned in 2021. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
