Terry Charles Gebhardt, 75, of Edinboro passed away July 18, 2024 at his home. He was born September 27, 1948 in Erie, PA to the late Kenneth and Harriet (Shaw) Gebhardt. While attending General McLane High School, Terry met Rosemary Tipton and following graduation they married in 1968. 

Terry served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, earning several decorations for his service. Following discharge, Terry worked for many years as a contractor/builder before starting work in the Maintenance Department at Edinboro University in April 1985. He was a founding member of the Franklin Township Fire Department, proudly serving for over 30 years. Additionally, he was a member of the Edinboro/McKean V.F.W. Post #740.

Terry enjoyed outdoor activities and serving the community. In addition to his strong work ethic, he was known for his reliability and drive. Among many things he will be missed for his dry sense of humor and keeping friends and family informed of his grandchilden’s achievements and activities.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife Rosemary; brother Kenneth Gebhardt; sister Heidi (Gebhardt) Crummie; brother Thomas Gebhardt; sister in-law Carolyn (Mills) Gebhardt; brother in-law Vic Kalicky; nephew Kip Crummie; an infant daughter; and grandson Judah Scrutchins. 

Survivors include his two daughters, Tracy (Joe) Tromans of Edinboro, PA and Brandi Gebhardt of Arlington, TX; a son, Terry W. (René) Gebhardt of Friendswood, TX; two sisters, Diane Kalicky of Girard, PA and Sherry Braden of Conneaut, OH; a brother, Gary (Dorothy) Gebhardt of Edinboro, PA; sister in-law Kathy (Loomis) Gebhardt of Deltona, FL; sister in-law Mary Beth Otteni Brown of Corry, PA; six grandchildren, Jaxon and Julia Scrutchins, Ian, Carson, Dalton, and Levi Gebhardt. 

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St, Edinboro, on Tuesday, July, 23, 2024 from 4 to 7 pm. Burial of ashes will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Terry’s name to Franklin Volunteer Fire Department - Station 72, 7455 New Road Edinboro, PA 16412
