Sylvia Ruth Willrich, 91, of Edinboro, died June 28, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Walnut Creek. She was born in Louisville, OH on Feb. 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha Paar Hossman.
Sylvia was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Albion for more than 45 years.
She graduated from Albion High School in 1942, from Hamot Hospital School of Nursing in 1945, and Lakeside School of Anesthesia in Cleveland, Ohio in 1949.
Sylvia retired in 1987 from Hamot Hospital after more than 35 years. She assisted in establishing the School of Anesthesia for Nursing in 1965.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas J. Willrich in 2011, and a brother, Samuel R. Hossman of Albion.
Survivors include a niece, Sandra Hossman of Albion; two nephews, John Stafford (Patti) of Lawrenceville, GA and David Stafford (Kristeen Ivan) of Edinboro; also, many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. A service will be held there on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. R. Blaine Jorg officiating.
