Susan Hayes

Susan Marie (Wirth) Hayes, 63, of State College, PA, formerly of Edinboro, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at HearthSide Rehab and Nursing Center, State College. She was born on May 29, 1952 in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of the late Norman and Helen Wirth.

She was a 1970 graduate of General McLane High School and a 1975 graduate of JH Thompson Academy of Cosmetology.  She was the owner of a Beauty Salon in Edinboro.  She loved needlepoint, latch hook and reading.

She was a past member of the Edinboro United Methodist Church.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Hayes Jr.,  in 1979 and a son, Chad Hayes in 1975.

Survivors include one daughter, Jill Hayes Nordberg of Millcreek and a brother, Jonathan Wirth and his wife, Mary, of State College.

A gathering will be held at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, September 25th from 10:00 am until the time of a memorial service there at 11:00 am.
