Stanley Hudy

Stanley John Hudy, 87, of Edinboro, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at home.  He was born in McIntyre, PA on May 30, 1924, son of the late John and Mary Sova Hudy.
Stanley worked as a dairy farmer for the majority of his life, he worked at G.E. for 17 years as an assembly worker and at General McLane High School for 15 years in the maintenance department.  He was a member of the Dairyman's League and the National Farmers Organization.  He enjoyed taking care of his farm until the end. Most of all, his passion was caring for and loving his family.
He was preceded in death by his most precious wife, Alice Marie McGuire Hudy on May 9, 2010, his daughter Sharon Schock and by four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his son, John Hudy and his wife, Georgia Kazakos Hudy, of Edinboro; two daughters; Reneé Lineman and her husband, Bryan, of Oil City; Colleen DeBrakeleer and her husband, Lee, of Mill Village; son-in-law William Schock; ten grandchildren, Shawn (Tracey) McArdle of Edinboro; Amy McArdle (Fiancé Brian) of Waterford; James (Annice) Hoffman of Erie; Michael (Kasey) Hoffman of Oil City; Philip (Amanda) Bedo of Roxboro, NC; Lisa (Alan) Lufkin of Strongsville, OH; Nicole (Marcus) Morris of Oil City; Christopher Hudy (Fiancée Jen) of Mt. Pleasant, PA; Alicia and Brandon DeBrakeleer of Mill Village; Ten great grandchildren; a sister, Rosalie Harayda and a brother, Frank Hudy.  Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Drive, Edinboro, on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Swoger officiating.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Franklin Township Vol. Fire Department, 7544 New Road, Edinboro, PA 16412.
