Shirley Flak

Shirley Ann Flak, 78, of McKean, died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at her home. She was born in Erie on July 3, 1942, the daughter of the late John and Mary Cyparski.

Shirley worked at Perry Plastics and was also a nurses aide at St. Vincent Health Center. She was a long time member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in McKean. She was active in Rosary Society, sang in the adult choir, and volunteered in the Angel Food Ministry. She was past President of Sunshine Circle and was also a member of the McKean Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary and was a Lioness in the McKean Lion's Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Flak in 2012.

Survivors include her daughter, Darlene (Brian) Dennis, of McKean; two sons, Kenneth (Desiree Williams) Flak, of Edinboro and Michael (Diane) Flak, of McKean; a sister, Helen (Ronald) Dombkowski, of Erie; also 5 grandchildren, Kristina (Mason) Galat and Brandon, Benjamin, Abigail and Jessica Flak; and a great-grandson, Hudson.

Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, from 12:30 - 2:30 pm and are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will follow at 2:30 pm. All CDC guidelines requiring face masks and social distancing will be in place.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
