Rudolph Vanco, 90, of Edinboro, passed away on February 16, 2011, at Independence Court, tended to by his loving wife.
He was born on April 20, 1920 in McKees Rocks, PA., the son of the late John & Anna (Chemelar) Vanco.
He was a life-long dairy farmer and for a time, an over the road trucker. He owned Pleasant View Farm in Edinboro until he retired. After retirement, he and his wife split their time between Edinboro and Dade City, FL.
He married Marian Margaret Banister of McKean on July 14, 1945. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2010.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Frank, and John Vanco.
Besides Marian, he is survived by his children; Anna Gillespie and her husband, Paul of Sandy Springs, Ga; granddaughter (Tina) Marie Olsen and her husband Eric & great granddaughter Abigail of Erie, PA; Patricia Kaleida and her husband Robert of Cranesville, PA; grandsons Brian Kaleida and his wife Sandeepa & great grandchildren Nathan, Joshua, Nicholas & Jaya of Mars, PA and Eric Kaleida and his wife Kris & great grandchildren Jack & Mara of Camp Hill, PA; Thomas Vanco and his wife Karen, granddaughter Michelle Rouscher and great granddaughters, Lyric and Savannah of Edinboro, PA. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Friends may call at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Dr, Edinboro, on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. William Sutherland officiating.
