Ruby Evelyn Loucks, 74, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on May 29, 1944, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ada Lewis.
Ruby co-owned and operated Loucks Upholstery of Edinboro with her husband, Ken for 47 years. She was the past Secretary of the Edinboro chapter of NPI Network Professionals. Ruby loved reading, working in her flowers and birdwatching. She was a member of McLane Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Lewis and a sister, Joyce Nason.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Loucks; two sons, Joseph (Jessica Kostovick) Loucks and Tyrone Loucks, both of McKean; four brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Norman and Jerry Lewis; two sisters, Judy Vorse and Dayle O'Day; four grandchildren, Billie Jo Loucks, Sally (Cory) Turner, Crystal (Bryan) Muscia and Chelsea Loucks; and six great grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Jacob, Marissa, Landen and Izabella.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday, September 6, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held at McLane Church, 12511 Edinboro Road, on Friday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating.
Burial will be in Mill Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Erie Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th St., Erie, PA 16505. To send condolences please visit www.gluntfuneralhome.com.
