Robert Lee Pollard, 76, of McKean, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at his home. He was born in Pageville, Pa, on April 21, 1939, the son of the late Harold and Evelyn (Jackson) Pollard.
He joined the United States Navy when he left Academy High School, and served for four years.
He worked many different jobs throughout his life but mostly he worked for Arthur F. Schultz Furniture Co, as a deliveryman. He enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas (Gladys) Tannis; a sister, Leona Pettit; a granddaughter, Brittany Pollard and a great-grandson.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 51 years, Sandra Lee (Gruver) Pollard; two daughters, Christine Pollard, and Beth (Pollard) Robinson; two sons, Robert J. (Melissa) Pollard, and Kenneth Pollard; a sister, Dorine (Reese) Cadwallader, a brother, Dennis Pollard, and a brother-in-law George Pettit; also 8 grandchildren; Stephanie Miller, Jacob Miller, Ashley Sissem, Casandra Pollard, Shelby Jagoda, Samantha Lance, Robert Perry and Kyle Pollard; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a memorial service there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Mark Nowark officiating.
Burial of ashes will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery to follow.
