Robert Nagy

June 21, 1959 — June 17, 2022

Robert Stephen Nagy, 62 of Edinboro, left for his next adventure on Friday, June 17, 2022, at home with his family. He was born in Erie on June 21, 1959 to the late Robert J. and Rosalie (Glaz) Nagy.

Bob attended Iroquois High School. He went on to get his CDL and moved all around the United States driving truck. He settled in Edinboro with his wife, Leah Therasse-Nagy, where together they started a new chapter in life buying apartment complexes and houses. Bob did a lot of remodeling, as he could fix and build anything! He furthered his education in the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical fields while continuing to own and help manage the business for 30 years in the Boro. He later worked for Showman Excavating, now Wilkinson Aggregates, driving and fixing trucks, which he loved to do. He retired June 13, 2019.

Bob loved his sports cars. He owned a Dale Earnhardt Signature Series 1996 Chevy Impala, three Corvettes, and a sharp custom Dodge Challenger. He enjoyed NASCAR a lot and loved the late Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed being a wrestling booster for EUP and collecting model airplanes, boats, and trains. He loved to ride four-wheelers and wave runners. Bob was also a 32-degree Pennsylvania Freemason.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Joseph and Flossie Therasse; uncle, Pete Glaz; and his sisters-in-law, Beth Nagy and Bettelynn Therasse.

Bob is survived by his best friend and beloved wife, Leah; 4 children, Diane Nagy, Trysta Bizzarro (Lou), Robert J. Nagy (Kristin), and step-daughter, Ella Therasse (Tony DiNicola); 14 grandchildren, Karmyndy Schnars, Faith Lomonte, Jace and Ryder Fetzner, Giovanni Bizzarro, Dominic Gomolekoff-Nagy, Luke Nagy, Naomi Nagy, Noah Nagy, Amila Jones, Joseph Lowe, Jocelyn DiNicola, Savana DiNicola and Julieva DiNicola; 4 brothers, Alan Nagy (Lori), Greg Nagy, Tim Nagy (Jacki), and Michael Nagy (Donna); sister-in-law Christy Wilhelm; Kryslyn Slother, mother of Bob’s two daughters; 2 brothers-in-law, David Therasse (Barbara) and Joseph Therasse; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank all who have helped with the pool, pumps, deck repairs, relining ponds, detailing vehicles, mowing the lawn and pressure washing the house. Added thanks to those who sent cards, homemade jelly, and food.

A private family gathering of remembrance will be held per Bob's request. Arrangements were entrusted to Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St. Edinboro, PA 16412.
