Robert H. Loop, 93, of, Edinboro died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. He was born in North East, PA on September 17, 1923, the son of the late Howard and Mabel Loop.
He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II as a navigator on a B24 bomber. After the war, he enrolled in Edinboro State College where he met his future wife. From Edinboro he went to Ohio University and received a degree in Architectural Engineering and was a partner at Hallgren, Restifo, Loop and Coughlin Architects in Erie.
He loved time away to hunt in Cooksburg, PA and was fond of visiting Montana and Hell's A-Roarin' Outfitters.
He is preceded in by three brothers, Herbert, Charles and Frederick; and a sister Helen Golab.
Survivors included his wife of 69 years, Zelma; a daughter, Denise (Dean Gossman; a son, William Scott (Sue) Loop; two grandchildren, Megan (Rod) Montgomery, Archie Loop; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Declan Montgomery; and a sister, Marion Simpson.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
