Richard “DA” Charles Adams, 75, of McKean, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at home. He was born in Butler, PA on March 13, 1943, the son of the late Clark and Elsie Adams.
Dick was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. Following his return, he began a 41 year career at General Electric. He was active in Boy Scouts, enjoyed bowling and was a member of the McKean Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years. He attended Flagship Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Ann Adams, and two brothers, David and Stephen Weichey.
Dick is survived by his wife, Janet Keatley Adams; a son, Richard C. (Shannon) Adams, Jr., of Erie; a daughter, Melissa (Rod) Warren of Suffolk, VA; two brothers, Robert (Glenna) Weichey and Edward Weichey, of Butler, PA; three sisters, Linda Adams Laughner, of Ventura, CA, Annamarie Weichey and Doris Brown, of Butler; and a grandson, Jacob Adams, of Erie.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5 to 8 p.m. A service will be held there on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
