Norman A. Brown, 86, of Edinboro, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his home. He was born in Erie, on December 3, 1928, a son of the late Theodore and Myrtle Brown.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked at Lord Manufacturing for forty years becoming a supervisor in three different divisions before retiring. He enjoyed farming at the family farm in Franklin Twp., PA. He was a charter member and Past Commander of the Edinboro American Legion, Post 439 for twenty-three years and a member of Lord Quarter Century Club.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph and John Brown; and 4 sisters,
Dorothy Swank, Velma Osterburg, Garnet Dobson-Fish, and Irene Tetzel.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years Myrtle McWilliams Brown; a daughter, Diana Carver and her husband, James, of Edinboro; a brother, Edward “Red” Brown and his wife, Shirley, of Erie; and a sister, Marie Allen of Ashtabula, OH.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. and are invited to attend services there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
