Nolan A. “Newt” Burdick, 91, of McKean, died Friday, January 31, 2025 at his home. He was born in Venango, PA on October 17, 1933, the son of the late Paul and Marie Burdick. 

Newt served in the US Army during Korea. He worked as a bus driver for General McLane School District for over 50 years. He loved to drive bus for school sporting events, especially "Big Red" for the GM Band. He had also worked at Matz’s Gas Station and the foundry in McKean, and as a caretaker of the McKean Community Recreation Park. He was a past volunteer with Erie-Crawford Auxiliary Police.

He enjoyed hunting and farming, and WWE wrestling.  

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Arlene Burdick; a daughter, Helen Wokulich; 9 brothers, Nelson, George, Floyd, Lloyd, Paul, Clark, Ellsworth, Park, and Gene Burdick; and a sister, Marjorie Webber.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dolores M. Berry; 3 daughters, Deborah (Daniel) Gruver of McKean, Renee (Thomas) Sterner of Titusville, and Paige (Michael) Barnhart of McKean; 3 sons, Daniel Burdick of North Canton, OH, Jeffrey (Brenda) Burdick of Westfield, NY, and Robert Wokulich of Erie; a brother, Melvin Burdick of Townville, PA; 12 grandchildren, Rachel Gruver, Amanda (Garrett) Yates, Natalie (Daniel) Caponi, Lili (Jacob) Damcott, Nicholas (Alivia Wood) VanTassel, Corey (Miranda) Knapp, Cortney (Jordan) Boswell, Meghan (Ben Heyer) Wokulich, Morgan (Justin) McClintock, Nathan Sterner, Izzabella Barnhart, Addalaide Barnhart; 17 great-grandchildren, Lila and Kylie Roney, Lettie and Remi Yates, Travis, Loretta and Donavan Heyer, Thomas Oakes and Jaxton McClintock, Maggie Wokulich, Arlo and Sylvia Caponi, Savanna and Sofia Knapp, and Bentley, Bryce and Benjamin Boswell. 

Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m.
