Nancy Weaver

Nancy E. Weaver, 64 of Waterford, died Monday, August 7, 2023 at UPMC Hamot.  She was born in Erie, PA on February 23, 1959, the daughter of the late Robert and Irene Weaver.

Nancy attended General McLane High School and received an Associate Degree in Commercial Art and Design in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a fun-loving and passionate artist with a spontaneous spirit.  Her passion and love for nature and gardening will be remembered by all who knew her. She loved to create and build outdoor furniture from natural materials and to explore and be outdoors. She had a lot of creative jobs throughout her life, and her favorite was working at Whispering Trees Manor.

 Nancy was a deeply caring person who was always worried about those less fortunate. If you were lucky enough to know her, you knew what a privilege it was to receive her love and friendship. She was spiritual and hardworking, with a heart full of compassion, courage and love. Her love for her children and granddaughter was enormous. She also loved her cat, Oliver, very much.

She was preceded by death by her brother Robert (Robbie) Weaver. 

Survivors include her son, Jeremiah Weaver of Waterford, PA; two daughters, Carly Dunkel of Waterford, PA and Samantha Dunkel of Asheville, NC; 6 brothers, Donald Weaver, John Weaver, Tom Weaver, Mike Weaver, Tim Weaver and Chuck Weaver; 4 sisters, Diane Parker, Mary Weaver, Carole Huegel and Patty Andrea; a granddaughter, Elly Amatangelo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

            The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is entrusted with funeral arrangements.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Whispering Trees Manor on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m..
