Mildred Viera

Mildred Mae (Hoehn) Viera, 97, of McKean, died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was born in McKean on June 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Fredrick and Wilhelmina (Baron) Hoehn.

Mildred worked as a machine operator at Buffalo Plastics for 30 years. She was also employed for 7 years at Rondale Nursing Home.

Mildred attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she was a member of the St. Francis Rosary Society and Sunshine Circle. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and Saturday night card club. She loved to paint, crochet and do needlepoint, and could often being found doing crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Wilfred, in 1998; a son, Ronald Viera; a sister, Helen Matts; three brothers, Anthony, Victor and Fredrick Hoehn; and two granddaughters, Rebecca Boyd-Swan and Tracy Graziano.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia (Richard) Boyd, of Union City, Mary Jane (Daniel) Graziano and Betty Ann (Richard) Urbanski, all of Erie; two sons, William (Helen) Viera, of MO and Dennis Viera, of NY; Renee Kingston, who had been her son Ron's companion-in-life, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 8880 W. Main St., McKean, PA, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m with Fr. Mark Nowak officiating. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Edinboro is handling arrangements.
