Milan Louis “Sy” Pavkov, 87 formerly of McKean died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Hamot Medical Center. He was born in Akron, OH on July 12, 1923, the son of the late Julius and Mary Konyevich Pavkov.
Sy worked in the farming industry as a dairy farmer. He married his wife Dorothy Ann Nick on May 1, 1945.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and seven sisters.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Nick Pavkov; his two sons John J. Pavkov and his wife, Kathy, of McKean, PA, M. Jack Pavkov and his wife, Cheryl, of McKean, PA. His daughter Patti Held and her husband, Peter, of Cambridge Springs, PA; a brother, William Pavkov and his wife, Nancy, of Apache Junction, AZ; three sisters; Kay Johnson of Temple, AZ, Jane Rew of Conneaut Lake, PA, and Sally Harrison and her husband, Bill, of McKean, PA; five grandchildren, Heather Meyers and her husband Dan; John A. Pavkov; Bryn Nguyen and her husband Khoi; Jacob and Nathan Held; also three great grandchildren, Michael Cochran, Lucian Nguyen and Zachary Meyers.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.. and are invited to attend a service there on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ralph Magill officiating.
