Michael Phillip Swift, 30, of Erie, died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at home. He was born in Erie, on November 13, 1987, the son of Sharon Swift of Saegertown and Jeffery Swift of Edinboro.
He enjoyed playing guitar, video games, and listening to music. He loved his family and especially his nephews (Richard Diehl and Sebastian Swift) and his God son (Lincoln Swift).
He served in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Power Technician.
He worked at BASF in the maintenance department.
Other than his parents, survivors include two sisters; Renee (Daryl “Richie”) Diehl, of Cambridge Springs, and Megan Swift, of Chicago, IL; a brother; Stephen (Jacquelyn) Swift, of Waterford; paternal grandmother; Laura Swift, of Erie; maternal grandfather; James Webster, of Venango; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held privately by the family at a later date.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
