Michael Robert Kosteniuk, 75, of Edinboro, left us to attend his heavenly car cruise, on Thursday, September 12, 2013. He was born in Erie, on April 24, 1938, the son of the late Michael and Alica (Krainock) Kosteniuk.
After graduating from McDowell High School, Mike joined the U.S. Army and served during a peacetime era. He worked at Eriez Magnetics for more than 26 years, retiring as the service manager. Mike and his wife also owned and operated a consulting business for more than 25 years.
He was a huge vintage car enthusiast, dedicated to attending car cruises all over the area. Mike loved to travel, getting the chance to cross the country many times. He loved spending time with all his family especially his kids and grand-kids and was so very proud of all of them.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Brooks and her husband, David, and his nephews, David, Steven, and Chris Brooks.
Survivors include is loving wife, best friend and traveling companion of 28 years, Pamela M. Kosteniuk; his children, Michael Kosteniuk of Edinboro, Alexis Bukowski Commarota and her husband, Robert, of Maryland, Amy Kosteniuk Rose and her husband, Chad, of Indiana, Megan Kosteniuk Wales and her husband, Jason, of Indiana, and Robert Bukowski of Arizona; nine grandchildren, Addie and Alica Ratcliff, Justin and Tanner Correll, Daniella and Dyllon Wales, Zachary Goodwin, Ryan and Sara Commarota; also a sister, Judy Tobolewski and her husband, Tom, of Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Margaret Metzinger, Elizabeth and Andrew Tobolewski, Brian (Angie) Brooks, and Tim Brooks.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Sunday from 2 pm until the time of a short funeral service at 5 pm. with Fr. Bill Sutherland officiating.
