Mary Jane (Pavkov) Rew was born September 27, 1928, one of nineteen children. Jane lived most of her life in Saegertown and Conneaut Lake, PA, until she was welcomed home to meet the Lord on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Jane demonstrated her love of life by making those around her feel loved and so very special. Jane has been known for her keen eye for antiques, but truly excels in connecting as a Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Jane’s youthful spirit was a blessing to us all.
Though suffering from dementia, Jane was an inspiration with her uplifting disposition. There was nothing better than seeing Jane smile and confirming she knew how much she was loved.
Mary Jane is survived by her two sisters: Sally Harrison (PA) and Kay Johnson (AZ), four children: Sandy Eells, Jane Barr & husband Joe, James Boyd, and Judy Steeber & husband Ralph; grandchildren: Dawson Steeber, Jill Boyd Myers & husband James, Katie Barr Earl & husband Philippe, Rev. Jeffrey Steeber & wife Melissa, Stephanie Barr and husband Ben Moorad, Sherri Blackwelder & husband J.B.; great-grandchildren: Grace, Giovanni, Benjamin, Marian, Emryck, Nicole Carlson and husband Matt; and great-great-grandchildren: Alex, Josh and Adam.
A graveside service will be held at the Edinboro Cemetery on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at 2 p.m., presided by the Rev. Jeffrey Steeber, grandson to Jane Rew.
We thank Busch Funeral Home of Avon Lake, OH and Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory of Edinboro, PA for their collaborative efforts in assisting on Mary Jane Rew’s arrival to her final resting place.
