Mary Magdalene Wallace, 96, of Edinboro, PA–formerly of Montoursville, PA–died at home Thursday, November 28, 2024. She was born in Edwardsville, PA on March 29, 1928, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Wyda) Demko. She was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford J. Wallace, in 1997. They owned and operated Wallace Pharmacy in Montoursville, PA from 1949 until 1994.
Mary was a former member of Montoursville Garden Club and the Auxiliaries of The Williamsport Hospital and Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport, PA. She was also a former member of Eagles Mere Country Club; was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
A devout Roman Catholic, Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edinboro, and a former member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Williamsport, PA.
More than anything, Mary loved her family. She is survived by her son Robert (Deborah) of Wilmington, NC; son James (BJ) of Braselton, GA; and daughter Susan (Dale) Johnson, with whom she resided; six grandchildren: David Wallace, Christianne (Jesse) May, Sarah (Tom) Borkowski, Lindsey Wallace, Lukas (Stefanie) Johnson and Dean (Tracy) Johnson; and 10 great-grandchildren - Lydia, Owen, Audra, Kora, and Kade Johnson, Levi, Teagan, and Camden May, and Bailey and Tommy Borkowski.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret and Agnes and her brothers, John and Ronald.
Friends may call at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Dr., Edinboro, PA on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 9:30 - 10am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
