Mary Louise Lakin, 88 years old, of Albion, Pennsylvania, died February 18, 2018 at her home, with the support of loving family, friends and caring nurses.

Born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, Mary Louise, known to her friends as “Lou” or “Mary Lou”, was the third of three children.

Preceding her in death were both of her parents, Keth and Edna, as well as two brothers, Wayne and Harold.

‘Lou served as a nurse at the Doctor’s Osteopathic Hospital, previously at 135 West 6th Street in Erie Pennsylvania, and married Oscar Dell Lakin in May 1953 in Erie.

‘Lou was survived by her children and their families, Judy and Darrell Lakin, Gerald, as well as Sandra and Dan Allen.

Also surviving were her two grandchildren, Kathy and Bobby Sturgeon, Jon Silverthorn, great granddaughter, Courtney and Brian O’hara, great grandson Cameron Burkholder, and great great grandson Samuel O’hara.

‘Lou was also a close friend to nieces Barb and Debbie.

Great appreciation, fondness and warm thank you to Cassandra and Tom Hosack, as well as Lori Danielson, for their great friendship and great assistance in the past year.

No calling hours or services will be observed. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of arrangements.
