Martha Ann (Klie) Carr, 79, of Edinboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017. She was born in Erie on Feb. 6, 1938, the daughter of Will and Esther Ann Klie and wife of the late Robert L. Carr.
As a housewife, Martha’s primary role was to love and care for her family. She also was employed at Elgin Electronics in Waterford, Dr. Paul Baltzer’s dental office and Quality Markets in Union City.
Martha was a member of: The Union City Golf Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Red Hat Society, Garden Club, Union City Moose Club, Waterford Lioness and Edinboro Area Historical Society. She was a lifetime member of the Washington Valley Christian Church and an active member of their Care and Share Group.
Survivors include: a brother, David Klie of Waterford; a daughter, Reneva Ann Sweet and her husband, Alan Lee Sweet, of Edinboro; a son, Kerry “Joe” Kerr and his wife, Charlene Kerr, of Albion; seven grandchildren: William Kerr, Kevin Kerr, Kimberly Kerr, Aubriana Sweet, Alan Lee Sweet II, Aric Sweet, and Avenee Sweet and many of their friends whom also considered her “Gram.”
No calling hours will be observed. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is handling funeral arrangements. Martha will be laid to rest at Mitchell Cemetery along with her late husband, Robert L. Carr.
