Marion Zindel, 92, of Edinboro, passed away at her home Friday, November 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 19,1926 the daughter of the late Roy Biby, Sr. and Elsie Biby, in Lakewood, Ohio where she lived for many years and was a four-time state champion baton twirler.
Marion moved to Edinboro as a teen where she met the love of her life Ralph on a blind date; the two were happily married for 65 years. Ralph and Marion owned and operated R. C. Zindel & Son Hardware store in Edinboro for over 40 years.
Marion had a passion for rescuing all animals in need. She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Edinboro United Methodist Church.
Marion was preceded in death, by her parents, a sister Gerry Williamson, a brother Roy Biby, her loving husband, Ralph C. Zindel Jr., and her son David Zindel.
Marion is survived by a brother Russel Biby (Norma), a son Alan Zindel (Valerie) and her five grandchildren, Brandy Seagren (Matt), Brook Zindel-Link (Chris), Jacob Zindel (Amanda), Greta Zindel and Luke Zindel. Marion was also loved by six great-grandchildren, Skyler Link, Monica Link, Maguire Link, Connor Zindel, Cailyn Zindel, and Cooper Zindel.
Marion was cared for in her home by her loving son Alan and his wife Valerie. For over a year and half, her great-granddaughter Monica Link gave her the greatest gift of being with her by her side and providing enduring care, love, and dedication.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
