Marilyn “Lyn” Stoffer, age 87, of Edinboro, PA died March 12, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mansfield, OH on October 2, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Russel and Mary Yarman.
Marilyn earned a degree in Elementary Education from Otterbein College. She was a teacher and co-director of Jack and Jill Pre-school in Edinboro for 29 years. She was an active member of Edinboro United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir for decades.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Dean Louis Stoffer; two daughters, Marcia Bogda and her husband, Joseph of Cambridge Springs, Sherri Ellison and her husband, John of Sarver, PA; two sons, Kenneth Stoffer of Sarasota, FL, and Donald Stoffer and his wife, Sophie of Boulder, CO; two sisters, Martha Osborne and her husband, Duane of Peoria, AZ; Roberta Reid and her late husband, James of Mansfield, OH; four grandchildren, Jason Bogda, Cassandra Stoffer, Shane Stoffer and Skylyn Ellison; also many nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome at a Celebration of Life at 10 am, followed by a service officiated by Pastor Edward Schoeneck at 11 am on Tuesday, March 18, at the Edinboro United Methodist Church, 113 High Street, Edinboro.
The Glunt Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
