Marie Katherine Foulkrod, 88, of Edinboro died October 18, 2011 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in McKean, Pa on July 18, 1923, the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Plack Pfeffer.
Marie worked at Wood's Dairy as a cashier for many years, and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and scrabble with her dear friend Rita Lucas. Marie was a long time member of Our Lady of the Lake Church and the McKean Hose Co Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Foulkrod, a brother, Arthur J. Foulkrod, and a daughter in law, Elaine Foulkrod.
Survivors include her three sons, Arthur J. Foulkrod of Worcester, MA; Jon M. Foulkrod and his wife Mary of Edinboro and Daniel G. Foulkrod and his wife Sally of Virginia; four daughters, Kathleen M. Berger and her husband John of Edinboro; Judith A. Martin and her husband Eddie of Erie; Rose E. Lucas and her husband Greg of Edinboro; and Joan M. Meyers and her husband Duane of Plainfield, IL; eighteen grandchildren, Stephen, Christine, Catherine and Amy Foulkrod of Worcester, MA; Brian Berger of Pittsburgh, PA; Brent and Bill Berger of Edinboro; Asta Trinn of Erie, Zach Lucas of Edinboro; Ashley, Thomas, Rebecca, Jared and Nicole Foulkrod of Edinboro; Matthew, Benjamin and Madysen Meyers of IL; and Trenton Foulkrod of VA, also sixteen great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Edinboro, at 9:00 a.m. with Fr. Bill Sutherland officiating.
