Marcella Stella Sherosky, 90, of Edinboro, died Sunday, December 26, 2010 at her home. She was born in Glassmere, PA, on April 25, 1920. Daughter of the late Michael and Stella Sobotka Sherosky.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Josephine Therasse and Francis Shaffer, and brothers Joseph, Ted, Ralph and Daniel Sherosky.
Survivors include her brother Einar Sherosky , of Springdale, PA, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Marcella was an amazing person. Born with Cerebral Palsy she greatly outlived her estimated life-span. She left school under adversity in the second grade, she was self taught and had a remarkable memory. No matter what you wanted to know, it was easier to ask Marcella than to even “Google” it.
Her caretakers, after her mothers passing, were her brother Einar and sister Francis. The last 15 years she had lived with her sister Josephine of Edinboro until The passing of Josephine in June of 2010, at the age of 100.
She has since been taken care of by some wonderful caretakers and Asera Care Hospice. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
No calling hours will be observed. The Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
Burial will be in Lady of Hope Cemetery in Tarentum, PA. To send condolences, please visit www.gluntfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505 .
