Lois M. Meabon, 89, formerly of Edinboro, entered into eternal rest on Sept. 28, 2014. She was born May 25, 1925 in Westline, Pa, the daughter of the late Annaus and Hattie Andersen.
For 52 years she was the loving wife of the late James Meabon who passed away in 1998. She was also preceded by three brothers, Fred Andersen, Richard Andersen and her twin brother Louis Andersen.
She is survived by her four children, Linda Steadman (Patrick) of Downingtown, PA, Richard Meabon (Anne) of Northumberland, PA, David Meabon of Pittsburgh, Brian Meabon (Cheryl) of Erie; also, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Lois enjoyed a very active life with family and friends. She was an avid golfer and bowler well into her 80’s. She also was an accomplished crocheter known for her Christmas angels. She was a member of the Edinboro Methodist church, Edinboro garden club, Edinboro seniors and the Edinboro YMCA,
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lisa Grant officiating.
