Lillian L. Martin Lewandowski, 86, of Edinboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Edinboro Manor. She was born on May 5, 1926 and is the daughter of the late John and Inez Martin.
Lillian married Joseph Lewandowski on April 5, 1948. Lillian was a graduate of Wattsburg High School and played basketball on the ladies basketball team. She was also a member of the Our Lady of Lake Church and belonged to the Alter Rosary Society. Lillian enjoyed the sunshine, birds especially humming birds, flowers, gardening and had a great love for cats. She enjoyed baking pies and nut rolls.
Lillian worked at the Dairy Bar, General McLane High School cafeteria and in the bakery at Van Houton Hall at Edinboro University from 1972-2002.
Besides her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lewandowski; brothers, Jack and Clair Martin; a granddaughter Tracy L Rautine (Harman) and a great granddaughter.
Lillian is survived by three children, Joe Lewandowski of Lakewood, California, Sandra Harman of Edinboro and Debra Miller and her husband Mark of Lawton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jason W. Harman and his wife, Amanda, of Edinboro, Garet L. Miller and his wife, Lora, of Lawton, OK, Everet D. Miller of Phoenix, AZ and Abby L. Miller, of Broken Arrow, OK; also, six great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Koman and her husband, Pete; a brother, Charles Martin and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a close friend of the family Walt Harman.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Bill Sutherland officiating.
