Leona Pearl (Sharp) Wilkins, 91 died on May 15, 2015 at St. Paul's Home in Greenville, where she resided for the past five years. She was born August 27, 1923 in Silver Creek, New York to the late Joseph N. and Monta (Carll) Sharp of Pleasantville, PA.

Leona was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, after which she worked as a waitress at the Ritz Restaurant in Union City and at the Union City Diner where she met and married Charles Wood Wilkins of Union City. The couple eventually made their home in Edinboro, where Leona served in the cafeterias of both General McLane High School and Edinboro State College. They spent retirement years wintering in Zephyrhills, FL where they enjoyed square dancing and being a part of the Rainbow Village Security team. Leona was active in various Garden and Hobby Clubs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Wood Wilkins in 2008; a grandson, Joe D Wilkins, a great-granddaughter, Maddison Weaver, two brothers, Joseph G. Sharp and Donald J. Sharp.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jane Haines, of Greenville and three sons, Joseph Wilkins and his wife, Karen, of McKean, Duane Wilkins and his wife, Donna, of Spring, Texas, and Dennis Wilkins and his wife, Michelle, of North East; and a nephew, Don Sharp from Maryland, also, she was very proud of her 11 grandchildren; Deanna Yarnell, Jennifer Weaver, Kari Katreeb, Kisti Park, Katie Wherry, Shelly Trotter, Jamie Ellis, Caitlin Wilkins, Christopher Haines, Duane Wilkins, Jr., and Jason Wilkins; and her 15 great-grandchildren, Matthew Haines, Steven Yarnell, Kenneth Yarnell, Payden Haines, Brody Haines, Lacey Weaver, Jeremy Weaver, Kyle Katreeb, Jordan Katreeb, Caleb Katreeb, Shannon Katreeb, Braydon Park, Riley Park, Jordan Wilkins, and Kaden Trotter.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor John Canon officiating.

Burial will be in Neilltown Cemetery near Pleasantville.
