L. Raymond Bunce, 83, of Edinboro, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Titusville, PA on April 25, 1929. Son of the late Alfred L. and Madeline Smith Bunce.
Ray proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Union City and also Venango, and a past member of the American Legion. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and farming, but more than anything he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and of course his beloved wife.
He was preceded in death by his brother Richard “Dick” Bunce.
Survivors include his cherished wife of 31 years, Kathryn Marie Reed Bunce, of Edinboro; three sons, Clarence Alan “Pete” Bunce and his wife April of FL; John William Dean Bunce and his wife Holly of Centerville, PA; and James W. “Bud” Howles and his wife Dianne of NJ; two daughters, Deborah S. Wilson and her companion Edward Dietz of Cambridge Springs and Kimberly A. Keep and her companion Gary Beck of Edinboro; a sister, Barbara Bement of Centerville, PA; thirteen grandchildren and eight great granchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Sowry officiating.
