Kimberly Kay (Brown) Kerstetter, 67 of Union City, PA, passed away May 29, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Erie, PA on December 1, 1956, the daughter of Catherine (Kay) Brown and the late James Brown.

Kim graduated from McDowell High School in 1974 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Edinboro University. She was employed at Brighter Horizons in Edinboro as a social service worker specializing in services for young adults.  From there she furthered her social service background and helped many people at CYS in Meadville, PA until her retirement. Kim loved helping others, but more than anything she loved her family, friends, and horses.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Brown and step-sister, Amy Jo Brown.

Kim was the proud mother to five sons, Leonard (Tiffany), Jason (Brandi), Zack (Megan), Gary (Katie) and Michael Kerstetter, and a step-daughter, Lisa (Michael) Garbiso.  Her grandchildren, Ashley, James, Oliver, Dallas, Connor, Lane, and Eva were also a great joy in her life. She is further survived by her mother, Kay Brown; a sister, Vanessa Mazzagotti; step-sister, Robin Stahli; step-brother, Eugene Brown; the father of her children, Gary Kerstetter; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St., Edinboro, PA.  A prayer service will be held there Friday at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Mitchell Cemetery, Cambridge Springs, PA.  Memorials may be made to the family  in c/o the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.  To send condolences, please visit www.gluntfuneralhome.com.
