Kenneth Raymond Blount, 66, of McKean, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, unexpectedly at his home. He was born in Erie on October 17, 1946, the son of the late Cleon and Mabel (Beckman) Blount.
Ken served with the U.S. Army in Germany, and in Vietnam. He worked at GE in Erie for over thirty years, and also worked part time at the McKean Ushers Club. He volunteered with the construction of the new Edinboro / McKean VFW Post #740, along with helping with many other things. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Linda (Coburn) Blount; two sons, Ray Blount and his companion, Scott Foster, Jonny "Jack" Blount and his wife, Tammy, and their daughter, Logan; a daughter, Tammy L. Coburn and her friend, Jason Gray; a brother, Reinhard Blount and his wife, Norine, and their children, Dale (Jenn) Blount, their daughters, Olivia & Amber Conklin (Dave) and their sons, Blace and Paxten; brother-in-law, Ken Coburn; sister-in-law, Donna Hart (Ralph); further survived by many cousins and special friends, Ron & Dixie Fry and Tom & Denise McGranor.
Ken was the love of Linda's life.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Tim DeTal officiating.
Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens with U.S. Army Military Honors assisted by the Erie Crawford County Burial Detail.
