Joyce Davies

Joyce Eileen Davies, 61, passed away after a lengthy illness on September 24, 2016, at Edinboro Manor. She was born March 29, 1955, in Erie, PA, to Edna May Ling Davies and Thomas Natig Davies.

Joyce enjoyed making crafts and had sewing, cross stitching, and photography talents. She created a beautiful Christmas Angel Tree for the deceased tenants of Ostrow Apartments. She served as treasurer of the Ostrow Social Society, was a member of the Red Hats Society, worked at Sarah Reed, Gertrude Barber Center and McCrory’s. Joyce had a special fondness for animals, especially her cats, Ying, Yang, and Turd. Joyce loved collecting Antiques, ceramic cats, angels and frogs!

Joyce will be greatly missed by her many friends, two of which preceded her in death, Pat Stengle and Tom Hershey. Joyce took care of her parents as they aged, sickened, and passed on, for which her siblings are eternally thankful.

She is survived by a daughter, Melissa Lynn Gornic and three brothers, Bill Davies, Gary Davies, and Robert Davies. Her generosity and caring will be missed by many.

No calling hours or services will be observed.
