John Marszalek, 86, of Edinboro, died Friday, October 29, 2010 at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA; son of the late George and Sophie Marszalek.
John worked on the Union Railroad in Pittsburgh as a breakman from 1946 to 1983. He proudly served our country for three years with the United States Army Air Force. John was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, the Pittsburgh Elks, the Edinboro American Legion, P.N.A. and the Edinboro Senior Citizens.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Janet; brother Felix; sisters Ann and Stella; and his grandson, Andrew.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Florence Lechtanski Marszalek; his son, John Marszalek and his wife Marilyn of Edinboro; his sister, Helen Milkowski of Pittsburgh; three grand daughters; Lisa, Pamela and Kristyn, and one great grandson, David.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Wednesday at 11:00 a.m..
