John Dana Hotchkiss, 59, died Monday, March 18, 2013. He was born on August 16, 1953. Son of Paul M. Hotchkiss and the late Pearl E. Hayes Hotchkiss.
In his earlier life, John enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. While he was in high school he ran cross country and while in college he took part in cross country and wrestling. John was a former member of Edinboro United Methodist Church.
John proudly served two years with the United State Marine Corp and also six years in the Marine Corp Reserves. He worked as an Iron Worker for many years and also as a janitor for St. Vincent Health Center.
He is preceded in death by his mother Pearl E. Hayes Hotchkiss.
Survivors include, his father Paul M. Hotchkiss, of Edinboro; David Hotchkiss and his wife Annett of Edinboro; James Hotchkiss of Edinboro; three sisters, Carol Jara and her husband Frank of IA; Marla Broyles and her husband Lewis of GA; and Sandy Sterling and her husband Mark of Meadville, PA; also nieces and nephews James Hotchkiss, Jr, Daniel Hotchkiss, Elysa Hotchkiss, Kathy Bolyard, David Jara, Chrissy Jara, Alana Jara, Brenna Jara, and great nieces and nephews Anna Pearl Bolyard, Amber Hotchkiss, Jacob Hotchkiss, Faith Hotchkiss, Abraham Hotchkiss, Timothy Sterling, Makayla Jara, and Coleton Jara.
Friends may call at Saturday, March 23rd, at the Edinboro United Methodist Church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Edinboro Cemetery.
