Joan Lee (Andrews) Estes, 93, of Edinboro, passed away on April 7, 20024 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Erie on March 9, 1931 to Stanley G. and Madeline (DiPlacido) Andrews.
Joan attended St. Andrews and graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1949. Joan had a passion for dancing (especially during lunch time at Strong Vincent) and she was so proud of her 2

She was proud to be among the first Master Gardeners of Erie County. Her favorite pastimes were bus excursions with her husband, spending time with family at Vacationland campground outside of Sandy Lake, but her greatest joy was playing cards and Bingo.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leo E. Estes, her sister, Diane Andrews, and a granddaughter, Cortney R. Bowser.
Joan is survived by her children, Susan E. Lewandowski of McKean, Mary E. Sitek (Ben) of Edinboro, Leo A. Estes (Mary) of Midlothian, VA, Ann E. Estes of Clinton, PA, and Rebecca L. Estes of McKean. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Brian Lewandowski, Catherine Rand, Karen Sitek, Christine Sitek, Amy Estes, Eric Estes, Lauren Holmes, Edward Estes, A.J. Gould, Matthew Gould, and nineteen great-grandchildren. Joan is also survived by many nieces and nephews, especially Jennifer C. Patterson (John) who visited her often and always made her laugh.
