Jeffrey E. Hendrich, 76, of Edinboro, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Edinboro Manor. He was born in Natchez, MS on March 9, 1944, the son of the late Walter and Marion Hendrich.
Jeff served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. Following his military service, he earned a degree in civil engineering from Stanford University. In the late seventies, he founded J. Hendrich and Associates in Erie, but his true life's work was on projects providing safe water in developing countries, which he did from 1980 until his retirement in 2012. Most of his work was in Africa, where he also enjoyed many safaris and photographing animals.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Uhl of Mississippi, and his brother, John Hendrich of Maine.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sharon; one daughter, Allison of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one son, Jason (wife, Jenni) of Los Angeles, CA; and one granddaughter, Audrey Hendrich.
No services will be held at this time.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
