Jean Illine Rogers, 87, of Edinboro, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Troy Center, PA on September 16, 1926, daughter of the late Earl and Mae (Rough) Saxton.
She loved sitting in her swing on the back deck in the summer sun. She also loved bingo and going to the casino.
She is survived by her three children, Barbara Benes and her husband, Sonny, of Harborcreek, Victor Rogers and his wife, Peggy, of Wattsburg, and Debra Hooks of Edinboro; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. for a celebration of life.
Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, 1700 Peach St., Suite 244, Erie, PA 16501.
