James "Jim" Daniszewski was born in Erie, Pa. November 24th, 1941 and passed away Saturday morning July 13th after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was the son of the late Ray and Terese Daniszewski who owned T-Ray's Tavern in Edinboro for over 20 years. Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal for five years and then worked for many years alongside his parents at T-Ray's Tavern and after T-Ray's was sold, Jim focused his energy on his utility trailer business and his passion for gun collecting by establishing his own gunshop, Hilltop Guns at his home in Cambridge Springs. Jim is survived by his two daughters, Kimberly Daniszewski of Erie and Terri Dupre of New Orleans, La., his sister Christine Tapper and nephew Glenn Tapper and family, and devoted long-time companion Gerry Pontious and her son Jeff Pontious, devoted and loved friend of Jim. Jim will be sadly missed by family and friends and will be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting and gun collecting. He was a lifelong resident of Cambridge Springs and enjoyed most of his life hunting and gardening, and the loving friendship he had with his two schnauzers, Crew and Rocky.
