Irene Barbara Mamrak, 98, of Edinboro, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Erie on February 25, 1920, the daughter of the late Marion and Stanislava Zakrzewski.
She previously worked as a teller for the Bank of Erie, and retiring from Union Bank.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Church and also was a past active member of the St. Casimir Church, in Erie, while growing up and raising her children.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, aides, and housekeeping at Edinboro Manor for the loving care they extended to Irene.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Elmer Mamrak; and a sister, Jane Lipinski.
Survivors include her son: George (Carol) Mamrak of Pittsburgh; a daughter: Barbara (Bill) Benedict of Edinboro; 2 grand-daughters: Crista and Carly Mamrak of Pittsburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 6, at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 11:00 a.m.
