Henry J. Tarbell, Jr.

Henry James Tarbell, Jr., age 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.    Henry was born June 6, 1952 to the late Henry and Gertrude Tarbell.  

Henry lived his entire life in Edinboro and, as an avid sportsman, he could be seen pulling his ice fishing shanty onto Edinboro Lake.  After the ice break-up it would be fishing the Lake Erie trout runs.   Summer was for tending his large meticulous garden which was a mixture of beautiful flowers, as well as berries, herbs and vegetables that sustained him much of the year.  His sweet potatoes were always some of the best in the county.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Jill.  Henry is survived by his brother John Tarbell, nephews Justin Tarbell, Ryan Tarbell (Audrey) and their three daughters.  

Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of his life on Sunday, July 9th at 4:00 p.m. at the home of John Tarbell, 5211 Tarbell Road, Edinboro.
