Helen I. Wnek

Helen Irene Wnek, 89 of Edinboro, PA died Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Elk Creek Township on Sept. 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Malinowski) Wnek.

Helen graduated from Albion High School in 1953. After school, she worked as an accountant at American Sterilizer and later at Erie Technological Products. She loved all animals, especially her dogs and cats, and enjoyed refinishing furniture. Helen lived her entire life on the farm where she grew up and enjoyed working the farm with her sister, Beatty.

Helen was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Genevieve Kovac, Mary DiPlacido, Josephine Dudas, Ann “Wanda” Brezinski and Delores “Beatty” Wnek; and 3 brothers, John, Andrew, and Stanley. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Edinboro Manor for the excellent care Helen received, and all of her caring neighbors and friends.

Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, 25797 State Hwy 98, Crossingville, PA.
