Hazel Bewley

February 21, 1936 — April 7, 2010

Hazel Irene Gifford Brooks Bewley, 74, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at her home.  She was born in  Grand Valley, PA, on, February 21, 1936, daughter of the late Harold Leland and Geneva C. Smith Gifford.
Hazel worked at Edinboro University in food service for many years, she was also a waitress at Tracey's Restaurant and worked at Woods' Dairy.  Hazel loved to crochet and knit.
She was preceded in death by her son Tony D. Brooks, Sr., her brothers Ken and Carl Gifford, her sister Marvel Hunter and an infant son Jeffrey Bewley .
Survivors include her beloved husband Bud Bewley; daughter, Cindy Foster of Edinboro; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Joshua and Paul Gwin; Tony D. Brooks, Jr., Tina Brooks, and Melissa Lewis; also four great grandchildren, Ali and Sarah Brooks, and Abbygail and Olivia Gwin.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Saturday from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m., Rev. Dennis C. Chludzinski  will be officiating the service.
