Harry Scott Aulenbacher, 61, of Franklin Twp, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his home. He was born in McKean, on August 20, 1952, the son of Dorothy (Kennelley) Aulenbacher-Cote and the late George L. Aulenbacher.
Harry was a 1970 graduate of General McLane High School. He attended barber school and was a licensed barber manager for 33 years. At one point he owned his own business in Millcreek by the name of "Harry's Barber Shop".
He loved to take his daughters for walks and picnics in the woods to explore nature (they always brought home rocks, fossils, etc.)
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol L. Aulenbacher in 1952.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Rosemary (Buren) Aulenbacher; six daughters, Carol (Christopher) Hresko of Edinboro; Ava, Dorothy and Saffron Aulenbacher all living at home; Lisa (Andrew) Vaughn of Erie; Crystal Aulenbacher of Girard; a son, Nathan (Stephanie) Aulenbacher of Millcreek; four brothers, George Aulenbacher and his companion Marjorie Kosterman, and David (Rachel) Aulenbacher all of Erie; William (Janet) Aulenbacher and Mark (Judith) Aulenbacher all of Northeast; a sister, Debra (Charles) Marr of Cambridge Springs; a step father, Bernard Cote; also, seven grandchildren, Daphne “Coco” Hresko, Noah & Jonah Aulenbacher, Andrew, Sam, Oscar & Jimmy Vaughn.
All services will be private. The Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
