George G. Pencille, 71, McKean, died Monday, November 27, 2017 at St. Vincent Health Center. He was born in Erie, PA on September 12, 1946, the son of the late William B. and Dorothy (Trojanovich) Pencille.
George worked for Penn Dot for 30 years as a operator and served as a volunteer fireman at Kuhl Hose Fire Department for 35 years. After retiring from Penn Dot, he worked at Elk Creek Cement Plant in Girard for 12 years and also was highly active member of the Edinboro Food Pantry for the past 9 years. George had a passion for hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved all his grandchildren tremendously.
George also enjoyed spending his mornings at Country Fair with the coffee clutch.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Pete, William and John Pencille and a sister Susan Yater.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Elsie Pencille; 2 sons: James (Paula) Pencille of Wattsburg, Jeff (companion Cindy) Pencille of NC; 2 daughters: Tracy (Douglas) Johnson, of Albion, Vickie (Bill) Blair, of Harborcreek; 3 step-daughters: Brenda Baney, of McKean, Laurie (Michael) Weschler, of McKean, Tammy Myers (companion Kelly Lapping); a brother: Paul Pencille, of Wattsburg; a sister: Patricia (Wade) Beasley, of GA; an ex-wife: Sandy Angerer, of Albion; his good friends, Bill Harvey, Frank Romba, Kenny Chernicky (fishing buddy), Bob and Dawn Trojanovich and family; also, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild due this spring.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on December 1, 2017 from 2 until the time of service at 5 p.m.
