Genevieve Wilkosz

Genevieve Frances Wilkosz, age 102, of Manchester Commons, formerly of McKean, left this world to be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Michael, on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Born in New London, CT on April 29, 1916, she was the eldest daughter of the late Frank and Antonia Kosienski.

Genevieve was a dedicated homemaker. She was also a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, its Rosary Society, and the Sunshine Circle of McKean.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wilkosz, in 1991; three brothers, Walter, Edward and Raymond Kosienski; and three sisters, Anna Oblinski, Loretta Danylko, and Helen Ore.

Survivors include five sons; Edward (Mardi), of Scottsdale, AZ, Robert (Lisa), of Boise, ID, George (Florence), of Fairview, Philip (Susan) and Paul, both of McKean; nine grandchildren, Jason (Joelyn), Rexford, Alysa Frith, Ryan (Marilee), Michael, Eric (Katie), Amy (Dan) Burger, Andrew (Diana), and Corey (Elisa); two step granddaughters, Amber Sieber, and Melanie Markwell; as well as thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her youngest sister, JoAnn Kupniewski, of Fairview; sisters-in-law, Audrey and Patricia Kosienski; brother-in-law, Frank Wilkosz; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 3 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in McKean.
