Francis James Kilbane, 83, of Edinboro, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Rolling Fields Elder Care Community. He was born in McKean on November 19, 1932, the son of the late Homer and Genevieve Kilbane.
He attended McKean Joint High School. Francis retired in 1995 after working more than 36 years for Autoclave Engineers as a welder. He was a life member of Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Bingo Committee for more than 19 years. He was voted Fireman of the Year in 1983 and he attended Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cranesville.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta Wilkosz and Dorothy Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Jean Wetsell Kilbane; a daughter, Sandra Hagstrom and her husband, Kyle, of Edinboro; a son, Brian Kilbane of Edinboro; two sisters, Norma Loop of Wattsburg, Marjorie Gilkinson of North East; one granddaughter, Morgen Patterson and a grandson, Nathan Hagstrom; also many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Dietz officiating.
